Sad Story of a Head Cutter (막난이 비사 - Mangnani bisa) is a 1955 film directed by Kim Seong-min.[1]
Synopsis[]
During the Joseon period, an executioner shelters the daughter of a disgraced government official. He falls in love with her, and her whereabouts is reported to the government out of jealousy by another woman in love with him. When government guards come to arrest the woman, her mother dies. Thinking her mother was killed by the jealous woman, the executioner kills her, and he is later beheaded for this.[1]
